Hello and welcome! I am glad you are here. It is right where you belong. Congratulations!
My name is Angie and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker living and practicing in the Midwest. I have been in the social work field for about fifteen years, and have been licensed to provide clinical services for four years. My experience is primarily with individuals who have challenges related to learning challenges, mental health disorders, life stressors, general, social and educational anxiety, and traumatic experiences involving abuse and neglect. I have experience working with the legal and clinical challenges related to international and domestic adoption, as well as permanency issues for children in foster care and residential settings. I particularly enjoy assisting youth carve their paths in adulthood as they work hard to break any unhealthy cycles or patterns they may have experienced in childhood.
Before going on to college, I was a struggling high school student who at one point dropped out. I wondered where my life would go as I felt pretty lost and worthless. Fast forward through many challenges and assistance from supportive people, I have a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of WI-Milwaukee and am licensed to provide clinical services in the State of Wisconsin. While I will never know exactly what it is like to live in your shoes, I do know what it is like to struggle and to want more. My approach is strengths-based and client-centered and I tend to use methods involving motivational interviewing, CBT, and solution-focused therapy in my practice. Personally, I am an active runner, avid reader and a parent to one teenager, one rescue dog, and many foster dogs. I am my best self when I have something chocolate, furry, or warm.

Angela is very professional my daughter really enjoys talking to her and opening up to her she always gets back to me with any concerns and questions and I appreciate that.
Angie was very supportive and helpful from the beginning. She had a great approach for starting therapy and made me feel comfortable right away. I appreciated her insight and questions to help me think deeper or differently about certain topics. Thanks Angie!
Angela is amazing! She makes sure I’m advocating for myself and has my best interests at heart. She is super flexible also! I always leave the session feeling optimistic and hopeful for the future.
I was nervous to begin therapy for the first time, but Angela is very kind and inviting. I felt comfortable sharing quicker than I thought I would. She has offered helpful tips and ways to reframe difficult situations. I plan to continue with Angela as I have found her sessions extremely helpful.
I like your approach and anyone that can deal with me is a magician
