About me
I am a clinical social worker licensed in Florida with over 15 years of experience working in multiple settings providing therapy and support for young people in an educational setting, working with families in child protection and in a clinical setting in their homes. I have worked with teens with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, attention deficit, sexual health, removal from caregiver, foster care and adoption issues. I also helped many teens who have experienced trauma, abuse, abandonment and neglect.
The feedback I receive from clients is that they find me to be supportive and nonjudgmental, and they appreciate that I am honest and direct with them while being caring and compassionate.
I look forward to working with you using a person-centered focus and utilizing appropriate clinical approaches based on your individual needs. I am available for video or telephone appointments.

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Amy Moncion. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Teen Counseling might be different.
She’s been wonderful
Amy was great, but just like every other therapist on here, she dumped us after a week and we are in desperate need of help.
Amy is simply awesome! She’s helped me work through some trying issues that are not really mine to handle. Her guidance dealing with compassion fatigue really helped me and my friend communicate better and led to my friend seeking professional help!
I feel extremely comfortable working with Amy. She makes me feel like my emotions are valid and that I’m not alone in this journey.
Amy is an incredible therapist and I’ve really enjoyed working with her. She strikes a perfect balance between holding space to talk, asking insightful open ended questions and sharing her own expertise and thoughts to the matter without being judgmental. Also, she’s willing to do her own research to supplement areas that she might not know as much about which I really appreciate.
I’ve been only talking with Amy for a week and I feel closer with her now. I usually have a hard time opening up to people and I still have a hard time but she makes me feel validated and because of that I tend to open up to her more. I feel safe with her. Im having my 3rd therapy session with her and Im doing a video session. Im really looking forward to this therapy appointment because im so ready to pour out the emotions that piled up.
