Hi my name is Amy, and I first want to acknowledge how difficult and scary it feels to begin the process of therapy, either for the first time or starting with a new therapist. I take very seriously the enormous strength that takes and I work very hard to ensure that you feel safe and heard as we begin the therapeutic relationship. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with 13 years of experience providing counseling in both inpatient and outpatient centers. I received my Master’s degree in counseling in 2008, from Webster University. I had the privilege of working in an inpatient eating disorder facility for five years and have continued that work in outpatient settings.
I have a passion for connecting with teenagers and building a safe place with an adult where they can voice their feelings and experiences without fear of judgement or misattunement. I am honored when a teenager chooses to trust me to hear and validate their experience. That is no easy task on their part and I am always so grateful when they allow me to be a part of their world. I have experience with a variety of issues, including: depression, anxiety, trauma, eating disorders, behavioral issues, self esteem, and self harm. My approach is warm, compassionate and highly empathetic as I work to establish a safe environment for healing to take place.

I have seen many of Therapist over the last 5+ years and only a few were what I needed in that season of life but the last 2 years is be a real struggle to find someone that would really help me hone in and really work through some tough stuff and I feel like I really found that in Amy. She was been incredibly helpful. Love the flexibility of over the phone and still feels like she knows me and can be very relatable. I would refer her to anyone!!! She is absolutely my favorite!!!
She is great. Makes me feel like she really cares and is trying hard to help me. I look forward to our talks.
Amy is the very best of the best. She is intuitive, insightful, compassionate, and kind. She creates an open environment and allows my son to really be himself. She was honestly a life saver.
