About Me

I am a socially and culturally competent Licensed Clinical Social Worker that resides and works in Los Angeles. I have experience working with clients with issues such as: Depression, Anxiety, panic attacks, divorce, grief and loss, ODD, ADHD, Autism, sexual and physical abuse, crisis, childhood trauma, career challenges, life event changes, social skills, and self esteem.
My specialty is working with adolescents and women of color specifically due to my professional background and personal experiences which I use to guide my practice. I am expert in helping adolescents navigate the difficulties and challenges that come with transitioning into adulthood such as: identity formation, sexuality, family issues, peer pressure, and developing short and long term career goals.
My approach to therapy combines Cognitive Behavioral, Humanistic/Person Centered counseling with a socially/ culturally competent and Trauma -Informed lens to help the client not only recognize their strengths, but also utilize existing support systems, develop new coping skills, effectively respond to crisis and empower the client to recognize the solution to their problem already exist inside themselves.I am also a EMDR trained clinician.
My personal mantra in counseling is “Change your thoughts and you change your world.” ~Norman Vincent Peale. I look forward to working with you. 

Amber continues to be amazing. After about a year of taking therapy sessions with her, I've noticed that I've taken strides in my anxiety journey in ways that I couldn't do by myself before I decided to take therapy (although she insists that the work and healing is 25% the therapist's doing and 75% the client's). Over the course of a 50 min session, Amber flips my mood 180 from stuck and discouraged to hopeful and empowered seemingly with ease. When I'm stuck on an issue I'm dealing with, she helps me refocus my attention to the root of the problem and resolving the right issues. Before, therapy used to be scary to me, but now I always look forward to my sessions with Amber because I feel so much better afterwards. Thank you, Amber!

Amber is truly an amazing therapist! She supports me and validates all my emotions and thoughts. She encourages me to be vulnerable and creates a safe space for me to authentically express myself. I appreciate her so much and I would definitely recommend her!

Amber brings you to be in your element, your natural love, beauty, and confidence. I had the opportunity to work with her for two months and it was very empowering and life changing. Our focus was on self esteem and creating a loving relationship with myself. I learned a lot these past few months and made big changes to my life. I wish I could work with her for longer, but I'm grateful for the time being. She gets you to really hone in your self awareness and be your best self. Thank you.

I love Amber. She’s really helpful and has helped me develop my confidence. I feel like I have grown significantly and I’m trying my best to apply the things we speak about everyday life.

My experience with Amber was positive! My time with her, and my wife, was fruitful and uncovered issues that had not previously been communicated between us spouses. The important thing is to show up, be present, and ready to work. If both people in the relationship are not committed to the counseling, there is only so much the counselor can do.

These past couple of months have undoubtedly felt like one of the lowest points of my life but, I have been here before. The difference between now and before though is that I took a leap of faith and sought help vs. bottling up my emotions "literally". I wanted to learn how to heal in a healthy matter so I avoid developing toxic behaviors that would continue to harm myself and others. Im still in the beginnings of my healing but, Amber has helped me a lot with helping me gain clarity...and I'm starting to open my eyes and see my self-worth/value, little by little. It always helps to have someone you trust in your corner. It also helps to hear input from an objective source. Really appreciate the service offered.
