Hello, my name is Amber. I have over 15 years experience working in mental health and recovery services. I have been a Marriage and Family Therapist for 9 years. I attended Southern Nazarene University for both my Undergraduate and Graduate degrees. I graduated Cum Laude. Most recently, I have worked in a transitional living program for women and children experiencing homelessness as the Clinical Director. I worked in a domestic violence shelter which gave me a wealth of experience and the knowledge that I wanted to work with people who have survived domestic abuse. I have worked in state government for the state mental health and substance abuse agency.
I have worked with a variety of individuals from diverse backgrounds. My youngest client was 4 years old and my oldest almost 90. I have extensive experience working with survivors of interpersonal violence, domestic violence, and sexual assault. I use a Trauma Informed approach and will treat you with unconditional positive regard. I am very direct yet compassionate. I am interactive and warm. We just need a space to talk. Sometimes, we just need to be heard. My goal is to provide a safe space for that. I will always be honest with you. I believe you have the answers inside of you. I am just the tool to help you synthesize your thoughts. I hope to help make sense of your experiences while validating and encouraging you. My greatest joy is watching the wheels click. I know that recovery is a reality for all.

I truly believe that God put Amber in our lives for a reason. She is so kind, understanding, and i feel better every time i talk to her. She is not only professional and gets to the point, but she also is friendly and easy to talk to. I’m so thankful for her!
I cannot recommend this app or Amber enough. I feel like my life raft is back on it’s hook and I’m on the boat of life again. This is such a wonderful service but Amber is truly an amazing therapist. Her gentle and validating nature makes me feel safe and heard as I face the traumas that have held me back. I feel stronger, hopeful, and most importantly supported by her. Thank you Amber and teen counseling!
Great counselor. Very good at active listening and making you feel validated.
She's always so kind and my biggest cheerleader
She has been wonderful. Conversation flows easily and she keeps me on track with what the conversation should be about instead of ranting about everything too much.
She also offers ways to cope or understand the things we discuss which is most appreciated.
Amber is a very good listener and has helped me understand where my anxiety comes from and how to better deal with it. I always feel better after a session
Amber is great. She legitimately cares about helping us and checks in using the teen counseling system.
Amber has been kind, patient, and genuinely helpful. She’s brought about a calmness in our sessions that I am truly grateful for. Additionally, she has given me support in many of my concerns and it is more than I could have imagined to receive from my first time using this app as well as even having a therapist. I would undeniably recommend her to others! She’s intelligent but in a very approachable manner and you can tell she’s one of those who truly care about their work and clients. Thank you so much for parting your wisdom and time with me, Amber!
I am so grateful for a teen counseling thank you so much for being of service to me during my time of unemployment… Words cannot express my gratitude!
Amber is kind, empathetic, and incredibly knowledgeable about her craft. I would recommend her for anyone struggling, especially during these uncertain times.
Amber I think is the first therapist to really make me feel understood. I also feel like she takes in my writing and address the most important parts, and asks the right questions. I think I'm finally on the right track.
Just in the short time I have been speaking with her, she has given me multiple tools to make it through my issues. She was confident, calm, and receptive of my thoughts, feelings and actions. I would highly recommend her due to the fact that she doesn't treat me like a patient. I'm treated as a friend and I can trust her with my inner thoughts. 10 out of 10
Amber is compassionate and gives recommendations for great supplemental resources and activities that have helped me a lot!
