Welcome, and thank you for taking the time to learn more about me! My name is Amanda and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Pennsylvania. I am also Nationally Certified as a counselor. I currently have my master’s in clinical counseling, and I am going for my Doctorate in Psychology specializing in addictions. I have over 5 years’ experience working in the mental health field and in addictions combined. I have also spent the past 2 years working in the school district providing mental health school-based services to children ages 6-19 years of age. I have the most experience working with anxiety, depression, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), addictions and family/relationship conflicts. I also have experience working with many other mental disorders and issues like; LGBT- related issues, trauma and abuse, parenting issues and anger management to name a few. I am open to working with anyone and any issue at hand.
I have dealt with mental health not only in my professional life, but also in my personal life. My mother has always had issues with depression which was passed on to me and I passed onto my daughter. My daughter and I both live with depression and anxiety daily. I know how difficult it can be living with mental health issues and maybe having people around you that do not understand the struggles and can judge which hurts and can make you feel alone. Things may feel lost and lonely now, but once you reach out your hand for help and the support you need and take that first step many things may turn around for you in the future. Sometimes all you need is that one person that understands and you can talk to about what is happening and how you are feeling.
I use a person-centered, holistic, and compassion-focused therapy. This means I work around your needs and wants in therapy and I give empathy and compassion throughout session. I tailor the sessions and treatments to each unique individual and do not do the same thing for each person. I use evidence-based techniques including cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused counseling. I am willing to use whatever is needed to help everyone who works with me to feel better. I like to work with each person and not just for them, it is your life, and no one knows more about you than you. I want to be there for you throughout your journey by helping and supporting you, not just telling you what you need to do.
I am open to helping anyone that is willing to want to talk and work through their feelings, thoughts, concerns or problems. I am open to anyone and do so without judgement because we all have battles in our lives. Please give me 24 hours to repond. Most times it will not take me this long to answer, but other time it may. Also I may be unavailable on Saturdays.

Amanda offers good suggestions and gives me good ideas on how to manage my problems.
Amanda always has such kind words to share and is supportive, she is great at checking in too. I have always felt comfortable, heard, and respected when talking with Amanda whether it be during a session or the text feature. The ability to have a session on my couch is so convenient and I find even makes me feels like I am just FaceTiming with a friend instead of feeling out on the spot (which I have felt with in person therapists before). I enjoy the connection I have with Amanda and her reliability!
Amanda has been extremely helpful and supportive of me. She responds to my questions quickly and has given me useful tips and guidance during sessions. I would happily recommend Amanda to my family and friends.
Amanda is a wonderful listener and relates well to you by providing excellent advice and questions that allow you to work through your challenges on your own. She has been wonderful in every way! She is very responsive and uplifting to speak with and has helped me work through things I’ve been working on for a decade in a couple of months.
Amanda has been a wonderful counselor so far. Speaking with her has made me feel very hopeful. She is calm and relatable. She brings a comfort to each meeting, which is exactly what I have needed. I appreciate her.
Amanda has been wonderful and supportive! She is available, uplifting and a great person to talk to. I appreciate her and everything she does.
It's easy to talk freely with Amanda. She listens and responds with helpful suggestions, comes up with plans of action and, probably most important of all, understands.
Amanda is truly caring. She always messages to check up on me. She is an expert counselor. Keep up the good work!
