Dr. Amanda Martin

About Me

I have a PhD in Family Therapy, Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Supervisor and EMDRIA Approved Consultant for EMDR. I have 14 years of experience and I specialized in working teens and families with trauma. I work with fa wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, low self-confidence, attention deficit issues and mood disorders. I find working with teenagers as the most rewarding process. Although this is a time in life that can be confusing and overwhelming, but it can also be a time of great transformation.

My counseling style is warm, supportive and interactive. I do value humor as well. I believe everyone has inner strengths and a purpose of significance in this world. My theoretical approaches include: Symbolic Experiential Therapy approach layered with Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, and Collaborative Problem Solving. I believe that everyone has resilience within themselves and in their support system to help them find a healthy balanced path in life.

If you are wanting help and support to find your joyful path in life, I'd be honored to help. I look forward to working with you!
