Welcome to BetterHelp!
My name is Allesha, and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the state of Ohio. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Social Work from The Ohio State University and a Master of Social Work from the University of Cincinnati. I have worked for many years providing counseling to various populations including survivors of domestic violence, geriatrics, children and adolesants particularly those involved in foster care. I have supported individuals overcome many barriers such as, depression, abandonment, setting boundaries, resent, addiction, families exposed to addiction, self-esteem, trauma, abuse, stress, worry, relationship issues, suicide and terminal illness. Together we will create a plan to help the teen in your life through mental and emotional triggers and develop healthy coping skills. My goal is to support individuals in learning how to thrive and not merely survive.
Counseling looks different for everyone; my approach is based upon the information you provide and what feels comfortable to you. I utilize modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Talk Therapy, Mindfulness Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Trauma-Focused Therapy and Client-Centered Therapy. My goal is to support individuals in having a clearer understanding of themselves, become more aware of their core values and have those manifests in everyday life, in addition to; heal from traumas- past and present, and align behaviors with those core values.

Allesha is amazing and has been such a big help in my growing in self awareness. She never speaks over me and is always ready to listen. She has provided me with great advice and encourages me. Most of all Allesha is super relatable which I find has been nice to have in a therapist.
Allesha has really provided the help to my daughter in the format that helps my daughter. She has really opened up and is more relaxed. Thanks!
Professional and very resourceful
I am so grateful to have been partnered up with Allesha Crawley (LISW), on my mental health journey. Despite having a degree in Psychology myself, and despite the many other avenues I have tried, to work through some pretty distorted behaviors and thought patterns, I have not been able to resolve my issues. That is, until now. I wasn't sure a therapist could even begin to understand my thinking, let alone, help me to see a new perspective. Allesha, has done all that and more! For the first time in my life, I have hope that I will be helped to understand the deeply entrenched thinking patterns that have arrested my emotional and spiritual development. I can see areas of growth that need to be explored, and I have no doubt that I will finally be able to find the answers I have been searching for. She is worth every dollar I spend on my therapy! Thank you so much Allesha! And thank you, teen counseling for providing a platform that finally gave me the courage to open up in ways I never would have been able to do, had I been limited to a face-to-face session. Here, I can be as honest as I need to be in a way that makes me feel truly safe.
